A remote is included, so you can adjust the light without climbing a ladder:

Two ways to mount

• Pier mount (base fitted): the 5.7" square base plate sits flat and screws down onto a standard 6x6 post, or onto brick pillars, stone columns, and flat post caps of that size or larger.
• Pole mount (base removed): lift off the base plate and the fitter slides over a 3.2" outside-diameter lamp post.

Common questions

• How bright is it? This is an ambiance light, not a floodlight — a warm glow that marks your entrance rather than harsh security lighting. Use the remote to dim it down or brighten it to suit the evening.
• How long does it stay lit? That's up to you — set the 4-hour timer from the remote, or leave it on through the evening. A full day's charge lights it from dusk onward. Runtime is longest in summer with direct sun, and shorter on overcast winter days, as with any solar fixture.
• Does it work in winter or cloudy weather? Yes — it still charges on overcast days, just with a shorter run each night. Six solar panels around the cap help it gather light through the day. For best results, place it where it gets direct daytime sun.
• Will it fit my post? The base is 5.7" square, so it sits neatly on a standard 6x6 post (5.5" actual) and on masonry pillars or flat caps of that size or larger. Remove the base plate and it mounts on a 3.2" pole. Note it is wider than a 4x4 post (3.5" actual), so it would overhang on a 4x4.
• Is it really weatherproof? Weather resistant and built to stay outside year-round through rain, snow, and heat, with a solid tempered glass shade and a metal base.
